the short return of mommy time

Every once and a while AlixZander will allow me some "Mommy time" his bedtime is sometime between 8 and 9 and Jonathan gets home after 9. tonight happens to be one of the Blessed nights that AlixZander went to bed at 8pm...

Last night he went to bed at 8 also but I was so worn out and swolen that I didnt move the rest of the night.

So i thought tonight I would just ramble on some of my thoughts lately and go from there.

This Pregnancy has been so much diferent from the way AlixZanders was. I know it has a lot to do with the fact that my life in general is in a much better place that it was at that time. plus im not nearly as stressed about everything and just generaly happier.

Plus I think chasing a 2 year old keeps my mind out of the worry places.

the bigest diference right now is that I am COMPLEATLY uncomfortable. with AlixZander I never really got Uncomfortable. but for the last month I cant sleep in my own bed, I can barely walk, I cant lay down at all I sleep in a recliner!! My Pelvis and hips hurt so bad that im ready for this to be all over with.

But at the same time I know in my heart that baby brother will come when he is good and ready. im just impatient and uncomfortable.

Also right now there are people in my life that I miss very much. I do have contact with these people but I miss seeing them, i miss talking to them in person and on a regular basis, I know as we grow up things change and its all good things but sometimes I wish that things didnt have to change.

I have started a new Obsession... as i need to have obsessions and I needed a new hobby anyways and one that dosent take a lot of time and dosent take much more energy than what I am already using... I have started a 2nd blog, yeah I know I can barely keep up with this one but im hoping by doing 2 I can do better at both... the 2nd blog will be only about Food!! I LOVE to cook and experiment and now I can share my Experiances with others... the link to it is

Ok I know this is probibly the most disjointed post ever but its helped me clear out some thoughts and now I need to get on Jonathans dinner and get it ready for him he should be headed home shortly

Night all

In an attempt to keep my hands busy

Beacuse of having to be planted on the couch for Extended amount of timeI have become Exceedingly restless. No I am pretty sure its not nesting because with AlixZander at least, my house was rearranged every 2-3 days and so far No furniture has been moved. BUT I have felt the need to do SOMETHING evolving my hands, I started out Crocheting, I made 2 blankets (one for my baby one for my sisters) 2 pairs of booties (same thing one for me and one for my sister) and a Hat for my baby. When I finished that I cross-stitched a birth announcement for AlixZander, Yes I know its 2 years late but better late than never and I bought one for both kiddos so I decided I had better make his first. So that is what I have Completed so far!

Currently I am working on another cross stitch pattern but I need to get a ring to hold it because it is a stamped cross-stich and I need something to hold it tight. I am also working on sewing a bringing home baby outfit for baby brother because apparently I am being extremely picky this time around. so far I am done with the Hat and the Diaper cover, the pants need elastic in the waist, the shirt needs facing and snaps, and I need to make the other bootie. I am also working on decorating some burp rags for me, my sister, and a Friend so far some of them are at least pinned and one is bout 1/8th of the way sewn together (to show jonathan that I was not insane and my Ideas will work.... well at least most of them)

I typically work on them while AlixZander is napping and after he goes to bed and I am waiting for Jonathan to get home from work. It has been a great experience so far and hopefully something I can continue for years to come!!

Nubunz First impressions

I have finally been able to use my Nubunz that I Ordered. I ordered 2 Diapers Both were from the Factory Secconds list and so they only cost about 6$ each.

I ordered an Apple green snap and a Orange velcro one the colours remind me more of Lime Green and tangerine. They come with 2 inserts that compaired to the couple of Bumgenious ones I have they are about 1 and 1/2 inch shorter

But with the "Anti Bunching seam it dosent make much of a Difference

and they do not have snaps for adjusting the size for making the diapers smaller.

I stuffed each diaper with only one liner to see what would happen. The first diaper did not leak at all, but the seccond one leaked but it was my fault as DS had Drank 2 sippys of juice one of water and went down for a nap. today I am going to try napping with a fresh diaper and 2 liners to see what happens.

They Fit my DS so much better than the BG OS that I have... Granted they are already 2 kids old and need new velcro But my DS is 2 yrs old and weighs about 35 lbs and is built like a football player!!

but first impressions are I LOVE them Both the snap and the Velcro ones stay on my DS very well where the BG comes undone very easy(hopefully fixed with new velcro)

Adventure: Day 2

So last night was rough. But I feel more relaxed today than I have in months. It was great to sleep in a real bed instead of on an air mattress. AlixZander had a rough time sleeping but I have a feeling it was mostly due to a strange place. His mood and my mood have been 10 times better today than in the last few weeks and my back is finally starting to relax.

AlixZander and I are currently curled up on one of the beds watching Rescue rangers on DVD and just kicking back. Its going to be a great day!!

Adventure: day 1

well today began the start of a new adventure. We are trying to save a Friendship with a good friend who has been awesome to us. We have begun moving out of our current living situation and we are temporaraly in the "Sleep Inn" In Idaho Falls untill other arrangements can be made. We have found us a more perminant home but it will not be avalable untill the end of February.

that is all I have for now as I am compleatly Exausted. but watch for future updates!!

Birthday post 1

I have decided that as I get the ability to today I am going to blog about what has happened so that a year from now I can remember what I was doing on the first day of the last year of my 20's

today I turned 29. Im not sure how I feel about it.

But today in its self has been a good day. AlixZander and Yet to be born baby boy both let me sleep all night and well in to the morning. It was awesome! Then AlixZander woke up and came and cuddled with me and Jon for about an hour watching Thomas the tank engine.

Finally my hunger won over my enjoyment and I had to get up. I got up and made AlixZander and I some yummy yummy pancakes and he played with the trains. Jonathan took out the garbage that I had gathered up the night before and changed the litter box. all with out me even asking!!

AlixZander continued to play with the trains though out the morning and I relaxed on the couch as Jonathan prepared for work. at about 12 Jonathan left for work and AlixZander and I continued to vedge. soon after he started showing signs he was ready for a nap and by 1 he was definaly ready to be down for a nap. so he went down and has continued to play in his crib for 2 hours now and will probibly zonk out here shortly.

About 2 i decided that I was hungry again and I am now munching on some yummy macaroni and tomato juice. and watching Muppet show season 3 right now Harry Belafonte (sp) is singing the banana boat song. and it is good! so that is my day so far!
