Happy New year!

So as it looks right now I try every year to blog and it NEVER works LOL!!! so this year I am NOT going to commit to blogging.  Im just gonna do it as i see fit.  Right now I am blogging for one reason

ORGANIZATION!!

Over the last year we have moved (again) and lots of other things have happened and I am ready for some structure and some calm in the chaos! so to start off in the right direction I found this

Its Weigh in day!

Well I have been VERY good for the last week! I have stuck to my diet! There were days that I cried because I wanted a piece of bread or some spagetti but I made it ONE WEEK! So far my average daily intake of carbs has been hovering around 70. Some days were as high as 80 and some were as low as 51! I have found some awesome recipes! most of them come from Kalyn's Kitchen She has some awesome recipes that are perfect for the south beach diet!

I am not going to measure myself today. My arm is really stiff and is really hurting and it makes measuring nearly impossible but hopefully the weather will have evened out by next week and I will be able to move again and get some good measurements next week.  BUT I did weigh myself!

Im not really sure I see any difference BUT hopefully I can start to see some differences. I do know one thing I have had more energy this week and have felt better most of this week than I have in a while.

loosing weight

Since I broke my arm in January I have been VERY sedentary and depressed, and unfortunately that leads to eating and more eating. and unfortunately I have not been eating well and it shows :( I now weigh MUCH more than I would like and my "Fat clothes" are starting to be too small. So Jon and I sat down and decided that together we would start back on a diet that worked really well for me a couple years ago.

So Today we have started the 2 week introduction to the "South Beach Diet" now this diet is not for every one as no diet really is. BUT this is an awesome diet to help cut the "Carb Craving"

I have done this before and I can do it again!

So I Epically failed at this :D the main thing that happened is the day after my last post I shattered my right humorous! So now 8 months, 2 surgeries, 12 screws, a metal plate, months and months and months of physical therapy, muscle damage, Lymph system damage, and an ENTIRE lifestyle change here I am again. starting over. again! Why? who knows.  I will be possibly deleting or redoing the blog. As " all i am is just a housewife" no longer applies to me. I no longer feel that way. in the last 8 months I have changed. Mostly for the good. a little for the not so good. But I am alive. I am happy. I am loved, and I am in love.  So want to know what my goals are for this week??

1. Not get sick with what my kids currently are sick with.
2. Sew 100 table favors and create 12 centerpieces.
3. Finish 1 doggie for the trick or treat.

Oh and by-the-way my 365 project got scrapped. but I'm ok with that. it gives me something to start over at the beginning of the year!

AND its talk like a pirate day!

Mid week review.... uh yeah....

Ok so its Wednesday... how have I done so far you may be asking... or not

well

#1 I had the living room at least clean...ish...once... I think this is going to take a while but i am going to keep working on it. its just interesting with 2 kids who like to play.

#2 I am Excited to report that this one is COMPLETE and then some... Today while Nic napped and Alix "rested" I managed to get the entire room, except for what I have to climb on top of the washer to paint, DONE! that leaves only like 7 stripes.

#3 Yeah we are not going there yet...

#4 I havent even started to work on it.

#5 I found this awesome Scripture Calculator that you can say how many days you want to read it in or how many pages you want to read a day and it will tell you how many or how long.... Just check it out. Anyways. I haven't decided how I want to do it yet I think Im going to have to find a buddy, Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?

So that is my mid week review. Not too bad. for a the first week at attempting this and having 2/5 at mid week im happy with my result so far now if I can just get them all done by next monday so that I can work on new goals.

Weekly Goals for Jan 3-9

1. Organize Living room.
2. Paint 3 stripes in my laundry room.
3. Scrub Kitchen.
4. Cut out remaining denim for Alix'z quilt
5. Find a reading schedule for Fast track reading of the BoM.

New year New goals.

so its that time of year again... the time where everyone starts "resolution making" and where most people fail with in a week or 2. i have decided to make a few big resolutions but then i'm going to shake things up a bit.

my big goals for the year are
1. to start, continue and finish a 365project. Which you can learn more about HERE you can follow me there or through my Facebook.
2. to find and share my joy in at LEAST one thing every day.
3. (this is where i am shaking things up a bit) each week i will make small goals for that week and report on them as i get them finished.

so there you have it. can i do it? we shall see!
